Tires FOR HAUL TRUCK

All Steel radial tires specially designed for rigid haul trucks operating in conditions requiring maximum rock cut and puncture resistance

BKT is a respected global manufacturer and have been making quality tires since 1987. They have four subsidiaries in Europe and North America, which are, BKT Europe S.r.l. in Seregno, Italy, BKT Tires USA Inc. in Akron, Ohio, BKT Tires Canada Inc. in Toronto, and BKT Tires, Inc. in Brentwood, Tennessee. They have become famous for their off-road tire products which are sold in 130 countries. Production includes five, state-of-the-art, production sites which employ more than 7,000 people. They invest in their own R & D and manufacture their own sophisticated tire molds.

TIRE TYPES

ROCK TIRES - tires for HARD rock mining conditions (iron ore, copper, gold etc.) These tires have the most tread rubber volume (low void ratio) and the most cut resistant compounds. They also have the lowest speed/load capabilities (TKPH) and are temperature sensitive.

TRACTION TIRES - tires for soft condition where maximum mobility is needed (clay, mud, slippery surfaces etc.) These tires have the high void ratio providing many edges for grip and open grooves to ground evacuate material. They usually have higher speed/load capacities and do not require hard cut resistant rubber compounds

SMOOTH TIRES - a special tire for hard rock underground mines where the toughest tire conditions exist. There is deep layer of cut resistant tread rubber but no pattern. Small slots in the tread allow measurement of remaining rubber. These tires are sensitive to heat and must be used within strict speed limits.
